Guidelines for Garage Sales

Park Avenue Thrift will attempt to sell what is brought to us, but we reserve the right to not include items that would detract from your sale. Here are some helpful hints:

1. One person’s trash is another person’s treasure. Put in what you would like to find in a garage sale. Don’t be too picky, but being selective is a good idea. Also remember that we can recycle any cloth, shoes, belts, hats, stuffed animals and hard toys. So if those things are not quite up to par it is still alright to donate them.
2. Please bring things that are wiped off. Don’t include items that are very dirty, unless of course they are tools, flower pots or things that get dirty.
3. Be sure to tell your friends about the sale and what you are trying to do. Promote within your organization / school / church / group. Talk it up!
4. Your deadline to bring things is the Tuesday before the day your sale ends on Saturday. Refer to your contract for exact dates.
5. If the item has been in a previous garage sale, please try to remove garage sale stickers.
6. Make sure you designate your group when you drop stuff off. Drop off is on the South side of Park Avenue Thrift, 507 S. Grand. Drive into the alley from Grand. There is a large glass door and a sign that says got stuff? drop stuff!
